Tulsa Metro Baptist Network To Hold Groundbreaking Thursday
The Tulsa Metro Baptist Network plans to build a new office building to replace one cleared for the Interstate 44 widening project. The TMBN will break ground on the building Thursday afternoon near 29th and Yale, alongside the Broken Arrow Expressway.
Since their old building on Skelly Drive was purchased by ODOT in 2008, the TMBN has been using office space at Southwood Baptist Church.
The new building was designed by Cognitio Consulting and will be built by Carl White Construction.
“As a family of churches, we are excited about this building, but we also try to keep in mind that it is not a church building or a ‘ministry center’ nor is it a ‘headquarters,'” said Dr. Charles Cruce, Executive Director of Missions-Treasurer, Tulsa Metro Baptist Network.
“A core belief that we have as Baptist Christians is that our ‘headquarters’ and our ‘ministry centers’ are with the affiliated local churches that we serve across the beautiful city of Tulsa and the surrounding Metro.”
The groundbreaking will be at 12:30 p.m. October 31st, at 4500 E 29th Street.
